Thesis Show yesterday - everything went great. Thanks to everyone who came out! I got to talk to a lot of people and I think it was real great practice. I’ll also be presenting at the Rocket Show in May. 83 Fun times!

Ffff. I never even posted this official ‘cause all I did was get home and sleep. And proceed to keep sleeping. For 22 hours. But you might have heard about that. 8D
Anyway, my thesis has been submitted, everything proper and in one piece.
This blog isn’t done though, ‘cause I’ve got a thesis show to look forward that I hope anyone who can make it to will come over and see. Look for pictures of that a little later. 83
So I just got my boards printed - they’re all wrapped up and I don’t want to touch them yet so I’ll take a picture later on, either when I submit them or when I set them up.
Anyway, I just wanted to give an acknowledgment to the guys who printed them - Club Ink. They were kind of on the other side of the city, but they were really friendly and helpful. My boards were printed on vinyl, so they’re a lot glossier and more durable than paper. I think it looks a lot better and it wasn’t all that much more expensive, so I’m really glad I found this place and if I ever need to do large-format printing again I’ll probably go to them for sure.
FINISHED MODEL OMG.
It looks like the rendering. xD It looks like I drew it. IN THREEEE DEEEEE.
Now just my humongous report I haven’t started yet. xD Fun times. At least I can stay at home now, although I think I might end up going to school anyway ‘cause I’m a little more productive there.
Assembled, just waiting to get final photos and leave it inside the office. Where it’ll be safe while I finish off my boards and report. <3
The whole model was tipping forward - I’ve had it up on blocks while I work on it - so I had to add something in the rear to act as a counterweight.
With two dollars in pennies. xD
Worked pretty good actually, it’s well-balanced and gives the model a nice bit of heft. Not that that’s really an important thing, but… it’s nice to feel.
More renders - you saw these on the boards, here they are. Everything pretty much matches up what exists on the model now.
I think they look pretty similar! I’m actually really happy with myself. Awesome. 8D
I wonder why these are showing with a black background? They’re actually white. Odd. Kind of like it though.
First draft of my display boards - I’m pretty happy with them, but I’m making a few minor adjustments based off things people and my thesis professor has told me. 83
